She usually clears that height easily.


The vaulters had to clear 14' in the regionals to get to the finals. It's amazing that 1/4 of the field missed at 13'3" and and other 1/4 missed at 13'9". I wonder if the weather conditions were an issue (wind is bad for pole vaulters). Seems strange that Rachel and so many other vaulters had a bad day at the same time.

VT seems to be snakebitten in this year's track and field post-season - transfer portal, injuries, bad pole vault day, multiple athletes missing nationals by 1 spot at regionals, etc.. Hopefully the remaining athletes competing for VT can rally.
